Combining mom and photographer..

and showing recent pictures of my kids. Today the spotlight is on Hailey.

Hailey, who is now two and a half, has been shying away from the camera a bit lately but she actually ASKED for this photo shoot. All my lights were up from a home studio session and she just asked me to take photos of her. Of course I couldn't say no and to me these photos definitely show her personality.



Catching her by the window. I love the natural light falling on her.


And this was at the ranch last weekend helping her Grandpa Jim feed the calves in the barn. She talked about feeding the calves all the way down to the ranch and all the way back! You can notice the 'chain of pearls' in the first photo ... quite a sophisticated ranch girl!!!

Most Embarrassing Moment at a Photo Shoot

Okay... so it's 4 months after Reuben's been born. I'm doing a pretty good job at getting back into the old jeans but I'm not 100% there yet. So... there are some jeans in my closet that I've been wearing tons just because I don't want to go and buy new ones when I'll get into those old ones of mine 'someday'.

So I'm wearing those jeans to a maternity shoot the other day. This leads to my most embarrassing moment ever at a photo shoot. I believe it was sometime around when I was taking these shots below.. I was sort of squatting down in front of the couch and did a bit of a shift to get a different angle and that is when we heard the hugest rrrrrriiiiiipppppppppppp.

I look down and there is the HUGE-EST, I tell you HUUUUUGEEEEE-EESSSSTTTTT rip in my jeans!

Fun Outside

I had so, so much fun with this family out in Inglewood. The kids were loads of fun with super energy, Dad was full of all sorts of trivia (who would have guessed dandelions are almost all gone in their native land of Switzerland?!?) and I could've chatted with mom for the whole entire afternoon! Here is a quick look at some of my faves, although I see many more fun ones in there.
